Indoor: Won the 60 meter hurdles at the Northwest Open. • Took home the title in the 60 meter hurdles at the Minnesota Open. • At the St. Thomas Invite, won the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.50 seconds. Outdoor: Unattached at the Hamline Invitational, won the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.95. • Won the Tom Cat Twilight's 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.58 seconds. • Added a victory with a 110 meter title at the Holst Invitational, clocking in at 14.47 seconds. • Won the 110 meter hurdles at the Tommie Twilight with a time of 14.61 seconds, a new personal record.

Ali claimed the program's first national championship in the steeplechase by breaking his own school record at 8:32.23 on Friday night at Hayward Field.
