Gophers Tied for Third at B1G Championships

Through five scored events at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio, the Gophers hold 17.50 points - tied with Michigan State and trailing Nebraska at 39.50 and Penn State at 33.

2015 Indoor Season
Won the 800 meter dash at the 2015 Northwest Open with a time of 1:53.33.• In dual play at Wisconsin, placed second in the 800 meter with a time of 1:54.02. • At the 2015 Iowa State Classic, placed 22nd in the 1 mile run with a time of 4:05.98. • Finished 9th in sectional competition at the 2015 B1G Indoor Championships.

2014 Outdoor Season
Competed in two meets as an unattached competitor• won the 1,500 meters at the Hamline Invitational, pacing the race at 3:55.19•finished seventh in the800 meters at the Musco Twilight with a time of 1:51.95.

2014 Indoor Season
Competed in three meets as an unattached competitor with a pair of top-five finishes in the 800 meters• finished second in the 800 meters at the Snowshoe Open with a personal best time of 1:52.85• also finished third in the 800 meters at the Northwest Open with a time of 1:55.86• came in 12th in the 800 meters at the Jack Johnson Classic.

High School
Graduated from Kasson-Montorville Senior High School with high honors in 2013 • the 2013 MSHSL Class AA runner-up in the 800 meters, finishing in 1:53 • competed in three events at the 2013 state meet and also placed in the meet as a sophomore in 2011 • won a total of six conference titles as a prep including four in his senior season • high school coaches were Erik Myran and Travis Robertson • a three-time alll-conference honoree (twice in track, once in cross country) • earned a total of six athletic letters as a prep (four in track, one in cross country, one in basketball).

Born on September 23, 1994 • son of Dale and Vicki Wiebke • majoring in psychology • has two sisters Taylor and Tiana • father played college basketball at Winona State.
