The University of Minnesota men's track & field team picked up 10 team titles its final home meet of the season at the 2015 Snowshoe Open.
Minnesota will honor its seven seniors during the final home meet of the 2015 season on Friday.
The University of Minnesota men's track & field program dominated a rare dual meet on Saturday afternoon against Border Battle rival Wisconsin, picking up a 98-59 win over the Badgers.
The senior from Lakewood, Ill., tied for sixth in the first round of competition at the 2014 NCAA West Prelims, clearing 5.36 meters (17-07 ft.).
The Gophers list 16 team members competing in individual events at the regional meet as well as the 4x400 meter relay team.
2015 Season - Indoor: At the 2015 Jack Johnson Classic placed 10th in the high jump with a mark of 1.99 meters (6-06.25 ft.).
2012 Season - Indoor: Competed in six events for the indoor season • leaped 6-7 1/2 in the high jump at the Big Ten Championships, finishing 15th • placed second at the Brooks Classic with a season-best jump of 6-10 3/4 (2.10m) • finished third at the Snowshoe Open with a height of 6-8 3/4 (2.05m). Outdoor: Competed in a total of six events for the outdoor season • jumped 6-7 in the high jump at the Big Ten Championships • won the high jump at the Tom Cat Twilight with a height of 6-8 3/4 • placed second at the Golden Bear Twilight with a season-best jump of 6-9 (2.06m) • placed fifth at the Stanford Invite • Academic All-Big Ten.
2011 Season: Redshirted the indoor and outdoor seasons.
High School: A 2010 graduate of Homestead High School • high school coaches were Dan Benson and Todd Brawner • part the 2010 Wisconsin Division 1 state championship-winning team • placed fifth in the 2010 state meet in high jump with a leap of 6-4 • all-state honoree in 2009 (6-7) and 2008 (6-6) with third and second place finishes, respectively • three-time North Shore Conference champion in high jump • also 2010 North Shore champion in long jump • holds indoor and outdoor school high jump records with jumps of 6-10 • also a letterwinner in basketball.
