Three members of the Maroon & Gold picked up personal records to go with their wins including true freshman Luke May’s victory in the javelin.
Meanwhile at the Hamline Invitational, the Gophers picked up four titles from unattached freshmen.
The University of Minnesota men’s track & field program kicked off the outdoor season with nine top-10 finishes at the Baldy Castillo Invitational.
Behind Wiebke's win in the mile and runner-up performances in the distance medley relay, the 600 meters and the 800 meters, the Maroon & Gold finished fifth with 67.5 points while Indiana won the men's team title with 112 points.
Through the first day of competition, the Gophers stand in seventh place with 14 points.

Indoor: At the 2014 Northwest Open took home the title in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.23 seconds • at the 2014 Jack Johnson Classic placed 29th in the 60 meter while competing unattached with a time of 7.17 seconds • at the same event won the 200 meter dash unattached with a time of 22.06 seconds • at the Snowshoe Open, competed unattached in the 60 meter and placed first with a time of 6.94 seconds • at the same event, finished first while competing unattached in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.02 seconds. Meanwhile, four unattached Gopher freshmen picked up titles at Concordia-St. Paul’s Holst Invitational on Saturday at SeaFoam Stadium in St. Paul.

The Cardinal Classic is a two-day meet (Friday-Saturday) set at Cobb Track and Angell Field while the Holst Invitational is scheduled for Saturday at SeaFoam Stadium.
