Scott Berggren is in his third season as a volunteer assistant coach working with the Golden Gopher high jumpers. Berggren coached Matt Fisher to the 2009 indoor Big Ten title. Berggren was a four-time letterwinner and a team captain for the Gopher track team. He earned a degree in 2003 in public parks and recreation and has worked with the city of Crystal, Minnesota, as its recreation supervisor since 2004. Berggren spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Hamline University working on Lynden Reder's Piper coaching staff.
