Three members of the Maroon & Gold picked up personal records to go with their wins including true freshman Luke May's victory in the javelin.
The University of Minnesota men’s track & field program claimed a trio of titles at UW-La Crosse’s Ashton May Invitational while the Maroon & Gold continue competition at Arizona State’s Sun Angel Classic.
Meanwhile at the Hamline Invitational, the Gophers picked up four titles from unattached freshmen.
The Gophers throwers added a pair of titles in assistant coach Matt Conly first home event with the Maroon & Gold.
A graduate of Fox Valley Lutheran High School • the 2016 Gatorade Wisconsin Boys Track & Field Athlete of the Year • went undefeated in the high jump as a senior and set a Wisconsin state record at the Division 2 state meet, clearing 7-01 ft. to shatter a 24-year old state record • the 2017 Wisconsin Division 2 state champion in the high jump • also finished fourth at state in the long jump • coached as a prep by Isaiah Degner • played wide receiver for the football program at Fox Valley Lutheran.

Hoag was a team captain, an All-American and a Big Ten champion for the Maroon & Gold, competing in cross country and track.
