Indoor: Competed in the 5,000 meters, the 3,000 meters and the mile run • posted four top-five finishes including a runner-up showing in the mile at the Jack Johnson Invitational • represented the Gophers at the 2015 Big Ten Indoor Track & Field Championships.
Outdoor: Opened the outdoor season with a 3,000-meter steeplechase win at the Baldy Castillo Invitational, clocking a 9:03 • ran a 8:50.37 in the Virginia Challenge 3,000-meter steeplechase to finish fifth -- a personal record that ranks 10th all-time at Minnesota • helped the Maroon & Gold to a fourth-place finish in the 4x1,600 meter relay at the Drake Relays. • placed third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, and fourth in the 5,000-meter run at the Big Ten Championships.
2015 | JUNIOR SEASON
Indoor: Competed in the mile, the 3,000 meters, the 5,000 meters and the 4x400 meter relay • totaled four top-five finishes • finished second in the mile at the Northwest Open with a time of 4:11.30 • helped the Gophers capture the inaugural Minnesota/Wisconsin Dual with a win in the 3,000 meters at 8:39.30 • his time of 8:05.45 in the Iowa State Classic 3,000 meters was the sixth-best performance in program history • ran in both the 3,000 meters and the 5,000 meters at the Big Ten indoor meet.

Indoor: Finished eighth at the Snowshoe Open with a time of 1:55.35 in the 800 meters • finished fifth in the 3,000 meters at the Bill Bergan Invitational with a time of 8:15.41.
Outdoor: Won the Carleton Relays in the 1,500 meters with a time of 3:55.09 • placed third in the UW-La Crosse Open 1,500 meters with a time of 3:55.00 • finished fifth at the 2014 Drake Relays in the 5,000 meters with a time of 14:14.95 • finished 20th in the 5000 meters at the Big Ten Championships with a time of 14:31.26.
2013 | FRESHMAN SEASON
Indoor: Ran the mile at the Snowshoe Open finishing in 18th with a time of 4:26.53.
Outdoor: Ran the 3,000 meters at the John McDonnell Invitational finishing second whith a time of 8:47.13 • also took fifth in the 3,000 meters at the Iowa Musco Invitational.
Graduated from Eden Prairie in 2011 • high school coaches were Jeff Lindlief and Bruce Kivimaki • two time all-state selection • three time all conference in cross country • two time Section 6AA Cross Country Champion • AA Individual State Cross Country Champion in 2009 • NXN Heartland Regional Champion (15:33 in the 5K) • Minnesota Boys Cross Country Gatorade Runner of the Year • finished 29th in the state championship as a sophomore, first as a junior and third overall as a senior • took eighth in the state championships in Nordic Skiing as a senior • graduated with honors and a gold cord after earning a 3.9 GPA.

A two-time All-American and three-time Big Ten champion, Zach Siegmeier will serve as director of operations for men's track & field and cross country.
Blankenship, Mead Shine in Olympic Finals
Mead and Blankenship recorded the best Olympic finishes by Gophers since Staffan Strand finished sixth in the high jump for Sweden during the 2000 Olympics in Sydney.
