The Minnesota men’s tennis team is set to host its second-to-last tournament of the fall season Thursday through Sunday. This weekend’s Gopher Invitational at the Baseline Tennis Center will welcome six teams from throughout the country to Minneapolis to compete in the four-day event.
Minnesota will play opponents from Penn, Princeton, Denver, Western Michigan, Dartmouth, and DePaul.
The tournament will have a round robin format and will feature four singles flights and two doubles flights. The Gophers will be in action every day of the tournament
Play kicks off for the Gophers Thursday at 9 a.m. with doubles. Singles play will follow at approximately 10 a.m. The team will start with doubles at 6:30 p.m. and singles at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Doubles for Minnesota will begin at 2 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday and will be followed by singles on Saturday.
Opponents for each day and time will be determined on the day of the matches.
Minnesota will conclude its fall schedule Nov. 8-10 at the Dick Vitale Intercollegiate Claycourt Tennis Tournament in Sarasota, Fla.
