Juniors Aleksey Zharinov and Chris Wettengel will meet in a third-round match on Sunday. Zharinov defeated Michigan's Anthony Jackson (6-3, 3-6, 7-5) and Brian D'Amico of Notre Dame (6-4, 7-6 (3) to reach the third round. Wettengel got past Iowa's Stuart Waters (3-6, 6-4, 6-4) and Matt Mayer of Louisville (6-2, 7-6 (10-8).

Avery Ticer also reached the third round by way of victories over Kevin Gill of Butler (6-7 (5), 6-3, 6-3) and Thomas Hanus of Northwestern (6-3, 1-6, 7-6 (6)).

In doubles, Thomas Haug and Avery Ticer reached the second round with an 8-6 win over McNaughton and Cram of Notre Dame. Steve Solberg and Eric Robertson ousted Walsh and Kirts of Louisville, 8-5. Manuel Lievano and Clay Estes defeated McGuire and Hourani of Michigan State, 8-5. Zharinov and Wettengel advanced to the second round with an 8-3 win over Libel and Praibus from Indiana.

The tournament continues on Sunday.
