GThe University of Minnesota men's tennis team finished play at the three-day North Carolina State Invitational in Raleigh- Durham, N.C. Minnesota played North Carolina in today's flight bracket. Six Golden Gophers won singles matches, while just one doubles teams defeated North Carolina.
Junior Tyson Parry of Chatham, Ontario, defeated Tryston Menione 3-6, 6-4, 6-4, at the No. 1 singles position. Freshman Harsh Mankad defeated David Cheatwood 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2 singles. Sophomore Jorge Duenas defeated Chad Riley 6-3, 6-4, sophomore Jon Svensson defeated Aron Breziner 6-3, 6-2 and sophomore Karl Sloss defeated Tyne Brownelow 6-4, 6-4.
