The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Friday evening the draw for the 2017 St. Francis Health System ITA Men’s All-American Championships set for early next month in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Seniors Matic Spec and Felix Corwin will represent the University of Minnesota at the event. Spec was selected to the main draw singles while he and Corwin entered together in the qualifying doubles. Corwin was pooled in as a qualifying singles competitor.

Spec and Corwin each bring ITA All-American experience to the table having competed the past two seasons. Spec holds a 1-2 record in singles competition while Corwin is 3-2 and advanced to the third round of qualifying singles a year ago. After falling in the first round of the main draw last season, the pairing made it to the semifinals of the consolation doubles before being ousted by the top-seeded duo of Julian Kash and Arjun Kadhe from Oklahoma State.

The ITA All-American begins later this month with pre-qualifying scheduled for Sept. 30 – Oct. 1, qualifying Oct. 2-3, and the main draw Oct. 5-9.
