University of Minnesota men1s tennis players Tom Chicoine and Tyson Parry were named to the All-Big Ten team thursday afternoon at the Big Ten Championships in Ann Arbor, Mich. Freshman Thomas Haug was also named Big Ten Freshman of the Year.

Chicoine, a senior from Neenah, Wis., plays No.1 singles for Minnesota and is currently ranked 25th in the nation. Parry, a sophomore from Chatham, Ontario, Canada, plays both No. 1 and No. 2 singles for the Golden Gophers.

Haug, of Zurich, Switzerland, was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year. He joined Minnesota in January and since then has compiled a near flawless 9-1 Big Ten record. Haug has played just about every position in singles play.
