Junior Tyson Parry opened slowly versus Hoosier Paul Jacobson, but went on to win 7-6, 6-1. Freshman Harsh Mankad had no trouble defeating Milan Rakvica in straight sets 6-3, 6-2, while junior teammate Jon Svensson finished strong by beating Rahman Smiley 7-5, 6-1.
Golden Gopher sophomore Thomas Haug teamed up with senior Martin Michalowski to defeat Ian Arons and Gabriel Montilla 8-6 in the doubles competition. In the second match, Mankad paired up with junior Jorge Duenas and won 8-5 over Rakvica and George McGill of Indiana.
