BuThe Golden Gopher Men's Tennis Team fell at No. 23 Ohio State, 4-3, on Saturday afternoon in Columbus, Ohio. Minnesota (17-4, 7-2) will close out the regular season on Sunday at Penn State.
The Buckeyes claimed the doubles point as Ross Wilson and Scott Green defeated Manuel Lievano and Clay Estes, 9-8, at No. 2 doubles.
Ohio State (18-5, 8-1) then claimed three of the six singles matches to move into sole possession of second place in the Big Ten. The Buckeyes' Jeremy Wurtzman clinched the match with a 7-5, 6-2 win vs. Thomas Haug at No. 1 singles. Minnesota's Aleksey Zharinov, Clay Estes and Avery Ticer claimed singles victories for the Golden Gophers.
