MankaAfter spending two weeks at No. 3, junior Harsh Mankad reclaimed the nation's number one spot in this week's ITA Men's Tennis singles rankings. Mankad is 21-3 on the season, including a perfect 6-0 record in the Big Ten.

Mankad, a native of Mumbai, India, spent most of March ranked number one in the country and is the highest ranked Golden Gopher in the program's history.

Minnesota (12-6, 5-3) is ranked 24th in the nation, but three of the six losses occurred with Mankad out of the lineup due to injury or Davis Cup obligations. The Golden Gophers have defeated two top-15 teams this year, Notre Dame and Southern Cal.

The Golden Gophers close out the regular season this weekend at Iowa and Wisconsin. The Big Ten Championships begin next week in Columbus, Ohio.
