TenThe University of Minnesota Men's Tennis Team defeated Division III NCAA Champion Gustavus, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Baseline Tennis Center. The 13th-ranked Golden Gophers will resume Big Ten play tomorrow vs. Michigan State at Noon.

The Golden Gophers swept the three doubles matches, including Manuel Lievano and Clay Estes at No. 1 doubles by the score of 8-4 over Kevin Whipple and Eric Butorac.

In singles, Butorac played Minnesota's Chris Wettengel down to the wire, but Wettengel prevailed in a super tiebreaker, 7-5, 6-7, (10- 6). Aleksey Zharinov, Avery Ticer, Clay Estes, Eric Robertson and Steve Solberg all posted straight set victories.
