MiMinnesota won all five singles matches and all three doubles matches in route to a 7-0 win over No. 21 Michigan Sunday afternoon at the 98th Street Racquet Club.
Freshman Harsh Mankind defeated Michigan's Matt Wright at No. 1 singles, 6-3,1-6,6-3. Sophomore Thomas Haug won at No. 2 singles, defeating Jon Lawrence, 6-4, 6-3. Junior Jorge Duenas defeated Henry Beam, 6-3, 6-1 at No. 3 singles. Martin Michalowski defeated Danny McClain, 6-2, 6-1 at No.4 singles and junior Tyson Parry defeated Ben Cox, 6-4, 6-3 in No. 5 singles. At No. 6 singles, Jon Svensson defeated Michigan's Ron Nano, 6-1, 6-0.
In doubles, Michalowski and Haug defeated McClain and Wright, 9-7 at the No. 1 position; Duenas and Mankind defeated Michigan's Long and Cox, 8-3 and Svensson and Parry defeated Beam and Nano 8-2.
