The No. 21-ranked University of Minnesota men's tennis team lost to Oklahoma 5-2 this evening at the Corpus Christi Invitational in Corpus Christi, Texas. The Golden Gophers won one singles match and two of three doubles matches to earn two team points. Minnesota lost to Boise State 4-3 this afternoon and defeated Michigan State 4-0.
At No. 2 singles, sophomore Thomas Haug defeated Jean Dunhame 6-1, 6-4 to win the lone Minnesota match. Minnesota lost the other five singles matches.
In doubles, the No. 1 team of Martin Michalowski and Haug defeated Chris Roberson and Rick Warren 9-8. At No. 2 doubles, junior Jorge Duenas and freshman Harsh Mankad defeated Dusty Beard and Tobias Kronlein 8-5 and at No. 3 doubles junior Jon Svensson and sophomore Karl Sloss defeated Max Ogle and Chris Mitchell 8-3.
