inThe 23rd-ranked University of Minnesota men1s tennis team defeated Boise State 4-3 and then dropped a match to Clemson 4-3 in the second day of the Clemson Winter Classic held at Clemson University in Clemson, S.C. Minnesota is now 4-4 overall in dual meets.

Sophomore Tyson Parry won two matches on the day defeating Boise State1s Ryan Thompson 7-5, 6-2. He also defeated Clemson1s Josh Goffi 6-2, 6-4 at No. 1 singles. Minnesota1s doubles team of sophomore Jon Svensson and senior Adam Selkirk also won both of their matches. They defeated Andy Roumeih and Ronald Rugimbana of Boise State 8-4 and then went on to win a close 9-8 match over Tomasz Boniecki and Marco Gojanovic of Clemson.

Overall Minnesota won four singles matches against Boise State and only three against Clemson. The Golden Gophers only won two of the six total doubles matches on the day.
