ITA All-American: Singles Consolation Draw
TULSA, Okla. – Gopher Men’s Tennis senior Matic Spec bounced back with a first round victory in the consolation bracket at the St. Francis Health System ITA Men’s All-American Championships on Friday morning.
Spec needed a tiebreaker in each set but snuck past Billy Griffith of Cal with a 7-6, 7-6 victory in his lone match of the day. Saturday will bring the round of 16 and, with a victory, a quarterfinals match-up. Spec will take on Peter Bertran of USF in the next round. Match times are yet to be announced.
