After three days of tough competition and hard work, men’s tennis senior Rok Bonin has qualified for the main draw of the ITA All-American Championships.
Today in the qualifying round, Bonin faced Pedro Dumont (Mississippi State) and sailed to a two-set victory (6-1, 6-3). Earlier in the week, Bonin defeated Daniel Hoffman (Yale) and Ryan Lipman (Vanderbilt) to secure his spot in the qualifying final.
Bonin will join teammate Leandro Toledo in the main draw beginning Oct. 4. Toledo received an automatic bid into the main draw of the tournament. This marks the first time in nearly a decade that more than one representative from Minnesota has qualified and been active in the competition.
