ITA All-American: Qualifying Men's Singles

TULSA, Oklahoma – Gopher Men’s Tennis senior Felix Corwin picked up a second victory at the St. Francis Health System Men’s ITA All-American but eventually fell in the Qualifying Round to end his bid for a berth in the full tournament beginning Thursday.

Corwin made short work of his first outing of the day, defeating Trevor Foshey of Mississippi State 6-1, 6-2 in the first match of the day. After rain forced the action indoors and delayed the second round, Corwin picked up a first set victory but fell in three against Marius Frosa of Wichita State, going down 2-6, 6-4, 6-4.

While Corwin will not see the next round, his senior teammate Matic Spec will be in action Thursday in the singles main draw in Tulsa. The bracket should be released Wednesday with final qualifiers to come Tuesday. The main draw also features a consolation bracket. For more information, check out our preview.
