2016 SPRING SEASON
Went 10-9 in singles and 8-14 in doubles • went undefeated in first dual match of the season, winning a close match against No. 3 Depaul single (6-1, 3-6, 7-5), Continued success with teammate Marino Alpeza, winning 6-1 • helped win the doubles point against OSU in a close match, 7-6 (7-4), with teammate Alpeza in the No. 2 spot • defeated Alexander Kokorev of Wisconsin in the No. 2 singles spot 6-3, 6-3 • with help of Alpeza, won at No. 1 doubles 6-4 against Wisconsin • defeated Howard Scott of Green Bay 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 • earned the only singles win against Drake's Bayo Philips, 6-4, 6-2. Also defeated Drake's Philips/Gillespie with Alpeza at the No. 1 doubles spot, 6-2 • earned two doubles wins at the No. 1 spot with Alpeza, defeating Army 6-4 and Illinois State 6-1 • established two singles wins at the No. 2 spot, winning 6-3, 6-3 against David Mitchell of Army (clinched the match) and 6-4, 6-2 against Jakub Eisner of Illinois State • picked up one of two wins for Minnesota over No. 45 Washington, winning a three-set match at the No. 2 spot 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 • took home a close win at the No. 2 spot against Hawaii, winning 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 (10-4), after earning an easy win at No. 1 doubles with Alpeza, 6-1 • won his singles (6-2, 6-3) and doubles match (6-2) with Alpeza against Nebraska, earning one of two points for the Gophers • earned the only singles point for the Gophers against Purdue, winning 6-1, 6-1 at the No. 2 spot against No. 84 ranked Benjamin Ugarte • had his last match of his career go unfinished in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament against Ugarte, he was down 3-1 in the third set when it was abandoned.
2015 FALL SEASON
Went 7-3 in singles play and 2-3 in doubles play • Went 2-1 in doubles play and 1-1 in singles play at the Wildcat Invite • Advanced to the round of 16 in singles play at the ITA Central Region Championships, taking a close loss to No. 40 Ben Lott of Drake • Finished 4-1 in singles play to finish second overall at the Lakewood Ranch Invitational, competed in one doubles match.
2014-15 • JUNIOR SEASON
Went 14-12 in singles and 5-1 in doubles on the season • Academic All-Big Ten • in dual-match play, went 12-10 in singles at the Nos. 2-4 positions and had a 3-0 mark at No. 3 doubles alongside seniors Mathieu Froment and Jack Hamburg • went 6-4 in singles and 4-1 in doubles at the Baseline Tennis Center • won six of seven singles matches to begin the spring season • defeated 80th-ranked Sebastian Beltrame of Harvard, 6-3, 7-6 (5) on the road (Feb. 21) • in the fall, went 2-2 in singles and 2-1 in doubles • at the ITA Central Region Championships, defeated Chris Hobgarski of Nebraska, 6-1, 6-0, in the first round before falling in three sets to No. 82-ranked Arjun Kadhe of Oklahoma State (Oct. 10-11) • reached the round of 16 in singles at the Big Ten Indoor Championships (Nov. 1-2) • with Matic Spec, reached the doubles championship match at the Big Ten Indoors (Oct. 31).
2013-14 • SOPHOMORE SEASON
Received the team's Jerry Noyce/Nike Most Improved Player Award • Academic All-Big Ten • had a 17-15 singles record that included a 7-6 mark at home and a 4-9 doubles record • in the spring, went 10-11 with all his matches coming at the No. 2 position after playing as high as No. 3 only once in his first season with the team • won five of six matches from Feb. 22 to March 28 • won four Big Ten singles matches • in the fall, had a 7-4 singles record to lead the team in fall singles wins and went 4-7 in doubles • advanced to the semifinal at Big Ten Championships with Eric Frueh (Oct. 25-27).
2012-13 • FRESHMAN SEASON
Posted a 17-16 overall singles record in his first season with the Gophers • played mostly at No. 6 singles with occasional appearances at No. 3, 4, and 5 • had a 5-6 record against conference opponents • made his collegiate dual debut in the match against Northern Illinois (Jan. 20) and notched a three-set win over Joven Zeljkovic • posted notable wins against Ben Mullis, Nicholas Kamisar, and Alex Bussi to help the Golden Gophers score upset victories over No. 27 Drake, No. 14 Washington, and No. 31 Michigan, respectively • competed in doubles once during the spring, pairing with Leandro Toledo to defeat Marco Stancati and Henrique Tsukamoto of Miami (March 19) • had overall singles record of 8-2 in fall 2012 • qualified for the USTA/ITA Central Region Championship (Oct. 18-22) with wins over Grant Tesmer (Drake) and Ashton Kalhorn (Bradley) • advanced to the round of 32 in the tournament with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Marten Jonsson (SIUE) • went 3-1 at the Gopher Invitational • competed at the Lakewood Ranch Invitational (Nov. 9-11), posting a 1-1 record.
