2011-12 • FRESHMAN SEASON: Went 9-7 in singles (all matches played in the fall, as he did not play in singles in the spring) and 9-7 overall in doubles (2-3 in dual matches and 7-4 in the fall) • Was 1-1 in doubles with Leandro Toledo, 4-5 with Michael Sicora, 3-0 with Brendan Ruddock, 1-0 with Juan Pablo Ramirez and 0-1 with Jack Hamburg • Began college career by winning five of first six singles matches • Won first three matches at Southern Intercollegiates in Athens, Ga. (9/23-25) in straight sets to reach the tournament's semifinal round in the third flight • Also reached his flight's semifinal round at the Wildcat Invitational in Evanston, Ill. (10/21-22) • Teamed with Toledo to post an 8-5 win against Robin Goodman and Jean Erasmus of Drake (3/9) at third doubles in a neutral-site match in his hometown of Rochester, Minn.

PRIOR TO MINNESOTA: Earned six varsity tennis letters at Rochester Century under head coach Scott Boyer • Was a five-time Big 9 all-conference selection • Placed fourth as a junior and second as a senior in the Minnesota High School Class AA State Championship in singles • Eight-time USTA Zonals qualifier • Qualified for USTA Intersectionals three times and twice for the USTA National Team Championships • Partnered with fellow Gopher teammate Tucker Saxon to win the 2011 Northern Sectional Doubles title • Two-time qualifier for the USTA Junior Davis Cup.

PERSONAL: Planning on majoring in finance with a math minor • Most memorable sports thrill was rallying from being down match points to win the National Open doubles tournament in Midland, Mich. • Enjoys golfing and skiing in his free time and got a hole-in-one in 2010 • Placed first in the state and seventh nationally in the 2011 Business Professionals of America fundamental accounting contest • Father, Brent, played tennis at North Dakota from 1986-89 • Son of Brent and Shari Frueh • Born Feb. 17, 1993.
