The Big Ten Conference Weekly Awards were announced Tuesday, and the University of Minnesota men’s swimming and diving team’s Jordan Lesser received Diver of the Week accolades for his performance at Michigan last weekend. The honor is the first for Lesser in his career.
Lesser, a sophomore transfer from Alabama, won 1-meter diving (333.60) and placed third in 3-meter diving (334.88) against the Wolverines on the road. Both scores NCAA Zone Diving qualifying marks.
On the women’s side, the Gophers swept the Big Ten Conference Weekly Awards. Tess Behrens was named Swimmer of the Week, Sarah McCrady tabbed Diver of the Week and Lauren Votava earned the Freshman of the Week award.
