The University Aquatic Center welcomes some of the best collegiate divers in the nation this week as Minnesota hosts the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships.
Ninety-two divers are taking part in the three-day event, which will qualify individuals into their respective NCAA Championship meets.
Tuesday events included Men’s 1-Meter Diving and Women’s 3-Meter Diving.

Wednesday, March 12 the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships will conclude with platform diving for both the men and women. Tomorrow’s schedule is:
11 a.m. CT- Women's Platform Diving – Watch Live
2 p.m. CT- Men's Platform Diving – Watch Live
These events are free to the public; make sure to join us at the University Aquatic Center!
The Golden Gophers, guided by Head Diving Coach Wenbo Chen, qualified nine divers in this week’s events (five women and four men).
Gopher Men’s 1-Meter •
The Gopher Men started of day two of the 2014 NCAA Zone D Championships with 1-Meter competition. With preliminary scores of 380.60 and 324.80 respectively Manny Pollard and Matt Barnard qualified for finals this afternoon.
Sophomore Manny finished with 715.70 points for 11th place in the 1-Meter event. Yesterday he placed 4th in the men’s 3-Meter competition, and has the potential to qualify depending on other’s scores throughout the week.
Matt Barnard, who is in his first semester at the University of Minnesota, finished 16th in the 1-Meter event with 648.55 points.
Gopher Women’s 3-Meter •
Keefer, McCrady, and Ramberg’s preliminary scores qualified the trio for three-meter finals.
Maggie Keefer, who yesterday qualified for NCAAs in her 1-meter performance, finished the 3-meter in 5th place with 675.35 points.
Jessica Ramberg finished with 612.05 for 13th place.

Minnesota swimming and diving has officially signed seven new swimmers and divers to National Letters of Intent. The class will bring in four women, one men’s member and two divers.
