200-yard medley relay resulted in a third place finish for the Gopher women, but the men’s relay team of Daryl Turner, Nick Hatanaka, Kyler Van Swol, and Derek Toomey took first with a time of 1:28.90.
Both one-meter and three-meter diving was contested tonight.
Golden Gopher Manny Pollard took second in the one-meter with a score of 361.90 and third in the three-meter. New to Minnesota, Matt Barnard took second in the three-meter with a score of 377.75.
Kiera Janzen took first place in the women’s 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 9:52.10. Minnesota’s Sam Harding came in third.
For the men, CJ Smith took first place with a 9:08:13, ten seconds faster then the second place finisher.
Minnesota’s Lauren Votava took first in the women’s 200-yard freestyle with a 1:48.31.
Tess Behrens took first in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 55.91.
Freshman Daryl Turner nabbed first as well for the men with a time of 48.58 in the 100-yard backstroke.
Gopher Kiera Smith took first in the 200-yard IM with a 2:02.09.
The men’s team took a third place finish in the 800 free relay.
