Gophers Host North Dakota Friday
Josh Hall and the Gophers look to improve to 4-1 on Friday

Jan. 23, 2013

The No. 11 University of Minnesota men’s swimming and diving team (3-1) is set to host the University of North Dakota (1-9) Friday night at the Aquatic Center. Events are scheduled to begin at 5 pm.

The Gophers are coming off a month of tough training in Hawaii and are ready to match-up in their home pool. Most recently, Minnesota added another victory to their record as they took down the University of Hawaii last week, 182.5-103.5. Sophomore Luke Bushman led the Gophers with three individual victories on the swimming side, while senior Mikey Ross earned two first-place marks on the diving side.

North Dakota is coming off their seventh straight loss after falling to Air Force, Seattle and Wyoming in a two-day meet at the U.S. Air Force Academy.

The last time the two teams met in a dual meet was when Minnesota hosted North Dakota back in 2005. The Gophers claimed a victory over the Fighting Sioux, 262-85.
