2014-15 Sophomore Season: Second-year letterwinner • At the 2015 Big Ten Conference Championships, Hatanaka finished 21st in the 100 breast, 23rd in the 200 breast and 52nd in the 200 IM (2/25-2/28) • Placed 6th in the 200 free and 18th in the 100 fly at the 2015 Minnesota Challenge (2/7) • Took 4th in the 200 IM, 5th in the 200 breast and 7th in the 100 breast against Northwestern and Purdue (1/30-1/31) • Placed 3rd in the 100 breast and 2nd in the 200 breast at Hawaii (1/7) • At the 2014 Jean K. Personal: Born March 2, 1995 • son to Steve and Lori Hatanaka • has two siblings, Brandon and Kelly • majoring in finance and entreprenurial management • older brother Brandon swam for the Gophers from 2011-2015 • enjoys playing basketball and volleyball • his favorite sport memory was making two Olympic Trials cuts at the Indianapolis Grand Prix.
