2015-16 Sophomore Season: Competed in five meets for Minnesota during the regular season • Tallied eight top-five finishes • Recorded personal records in the 50 free (20.57) and 100 fly (48.32) at the 2016 Minnesota Challenge, where he notched top-three marks in four individual events • In Minnesota’s win at North Dakota, Bublitz won the 200 free and finished second in the 100 fly.2014-15 Freshman Season: At the 2015 Minnesota Challenge, Bublitz finished 1st in the 100 fly, 3rd in the 100 free and 5th in the 50 free (2/6-2/7) • Finished 3rd in the 100 free and 7th in the 200 free at N.C. State (1/23-1/24) • During the 2014 Jean K. Freeman Invite, he finishes 4th in the 100 fly, 14th in the 100 free, 16th in the 50 free and 17th in the 200 free (12/5-12/6) • At the 2014 Arena Grand Prix at Minneapolis, Bublitz finished 18th in the 100 fly, 24th in the 100 free and 200 free, 28th in the 50 free (11/20-11/22) • Placed 5th in the 100 fly and 8th in the 200 free at Florida (11/8) • Took home 5th in the 200 free and 8th in the 100 fly against Iowa (10/31) • Finished 3rd in the 100 free vs. North Dakota (10/24) • Placed 6th in the 100 fly against Wisconsin (10/17) • Made his collegiate debut at Arizona State, where he finished 5th in the 200 free (10/4).
High School: A 2014 graduate of Kentridge High School • coached by Michael Dobner • Academic All-American all four years • AP Scholar • four-year varsity letter in swimming • five-time individual state champion (50 free and 100 fly in 2012, 100 free and 200 free in 2013, 100 fly and 400 free relay in 2014) • Team MVP in 2012 and 2013 • also member of Chinook Aquatic Club.
