Minnesota Grabs Pair of B1G Victories

Minnesota men’s and women’s swimming and diving team used solid showings in their home pool to pick up a pair of Big Ten conference wins

PRONUNCIATION:



2017-18 Junior Season: At the Big Ten Championships, took fifty-first in the 200 IM (1:54.35), twenty-first in the 100-yard breast (54.75), and twenty-seventh in the 200-yard breast (1:59.44). • finished sixth in the 100-yard breast (56.10) and fifth in the 200-yard breast (2:03.88) at the Triple Dual vs. Northwestern and Purdue • third place finishes in the 100-yard breast (57.31) and in the 200-yard breast (2:04.63) vs. Denver • took fifth place in the 100-yard breast (57.41) and third in the 200-yard breast (2:03.56) against Hawai'i and Drury • finished fifth in the 100-yard breast (55.51) and fifth in the 200-yard breast (2:00.91) at the Minnesota Invitational • placed seventh in the 200-yard breast (2:03.81) and sixth in the 100-yard breast (56.62) at the Quad Dual vs. Michigan, Penn State, and Wisconsin • had fourth place finishes in the 100-yard breast (57.30) and the 200-yard breast (2:03.56) vs. the University of Iowa • took third in the 100-yard breast (56.82) and fifth in the 200-yard breast (2:04.50) against Florida State.


2016-17 Sophomore Season: 
Improved to 54.78 in the 100-yard breast at the Big Ten Championships • earned a 57.06 in the 100-yard breast against Iowa • improved to 56.75 in the 100-yard breast against North Dakota • placed third in the 200-yard breast with a 2:04.18 at the Minnesota Invitational.

2015-16 Freshman Season:
Recorded college career best times in the 100 breast (56.36), 200 breast (2:00.70) and 200 IM (1:56.50) at the 2016 Minnesota Challenge • made his collegiate debut against Florida.

High School: 2015 graduate of Maple Grove Senior High • “A” Honor Roll 2010-15 • Coached by Ron Jacobsen and John Stenroos • Won back-to-back Minnesota State titles in the 100 breaststroke 2014, 2015 • holds pool and school record in 100 breaststroke • five-time letter winner in swimming • All-Conference 2011-15 • All-State 2013-15 • Team MVP 2013-15 • Team Captain 2015 • Hardest Worker 2014 • scored the most varsity points on team 2014-15 • member of NHCP Swimming Club.
