The 2013-14 Gopher Hockey season featured plenty of memorable moments, and hockey fans in Minnesota certainly won’t forget January 25, 2014 when the Gophers defeated Minnesota Duluth in a shootout to claim the inaugural North Star College Cup.

After battling past St. Cloud State with a 4-1 win in the semifinals, Minnesota’s Adam Wilcox made a career high 38 saves for the second night in a row as the Gophers and Bulldogs combined for eight goals in regulation.
