#7 Gophers Win First-Ever B1G Game
The 2013-14 season marked a new era of Gopher Hockey as the program moved from the WCHA to the newly formed Big Ten Conference. And who better to kick off the new conference season against than the rival Wisconsin Badgers.
The 2013-14 Border Battle opened up at Mariucci Arena on Nov. 29 as the first official game in Big Ten Conference history. While the Badgers struck first, the Gophers rattled off four-straight goals to claim a 4-1 victory. Ten Gophers tallied points in the battle with a two-goal performance from Seth Ambroz leading the way.
And that's why the first-ever Big Ten win comes in at No. 7 on our Gophers Top Plays Countdown.
