On playing Wisconsin…
“You have to stay with the game. You are not always going to be in control when you play good teams, there are going to be periods where they have you on your heels, and you have to fight back for different segments of the game. It’s how hard you have to play. (It takes) sixty minutes to beat good teams.”
On the Minnesota/Wisconsin rivalry…
“Yea, it is Minnesota and Wisconsin, and that is what it is. We could be in any conference, and there would still be a rivalry. Even after we left the WCHA, we figured this rivalry would continue to grow. And it has.”
Junior Forward Seth Ambroz:
On the game-winning goal…
“I was a little surprised. They were just skating out when the turnover happened, and I just went right to the net. I was a little surprised, but our line has been creating turnovers all weekend. So it was nice to have another one, right there at the end.”
On getting the start tonight…
“(Coach Lucia) just said that we are going to reward your line with the start tonight, you have been playing well. We came out that first shift, and I thought that we were playing pretty loudly. We definitely got slower as the game moved on into the second (period). It’s something he did, to just try to reward us. And hopefully we keep it up.”
