Head Coach Don Lucia
On Fasching’s contact play…
“He made a great play. He was able to knock it down and get a piece of it before it crossed the goal line. That was the question. Did he touch it in before he got his stick on it? But he got his stick on it first. That’s Hudson. He plays under contact like that.”
On tonights five goals…
“The bottom line is that the guys that we needed to score, scored goals tonight. You look at the guys off of our top two lines, they were our goal scorers tonight. As you can tell at the end, you have to rely on your key guys night in and night out. So I think it was great to see our first short-handed goal of the season. There was a nice play on that.”
Freshman Forward Hudson Fasching
On his goal against Penn State…
“There were a lot of rebounds that were in play. It was kind of bouncing, the puck was bouncing around. I don’t know who got in the corner but he got ahold of it and Ben Marshall got a great shot on net and I was just right in front of the net.”
On the first line…
“We got a nice week off, got a little bit of rest. Now we are back together after a little bit of a break, we are just happy to be back together and we are firing on all cylinders right now. And we are happy with our play.”
