On the Gophers' third period...
"I give our guys credit for finding a way to win the third period and win the game."
On the tempo of the game...
"Sometimes you get a 2-0 lead and you feel like it's almost game over. I never felt that way tonight. I thought it was one of those games where they were doing plenty to be into the game or maybe ahead at that point in time, but we just made a couple plays that we finished on."
On if it was nice to be back at Mariucci after about a month without a home game...
"Definitely. It was something we talked about. It was a stretch of five games we played away, and now it's nice to be home. We've got to get these points here at home."
On the game...
"The first and second periods were a little sloppy. We've just got to be better at little things, and I think we got better and played really well in the third."
"It was nice getting one (a goal) tonight especially in a win to start the weekend right. It was a nice setup, and the puck just kind of found my stick. You couldn't get a better chance than that."
