Minnesota Head Coach Don Lucia:
On the win...
"I thought that when the game started it was kind of tentative on both sides. It was cautious. Nobody wanted to make a mistake. I thought the game got better as it went along. Obviously, getting that first goal for us to tie it 1-1 was critical, and to continue and get that next goal at the end of the second period. That was a big one, to be able to carry that lead into the third. Obviously, getting that shorthanded goal sealed it."
On Nate Condon's goal:
"It was a great play by Nate. It was one of those lucky breaks for us. (Joe) Gleason's stick broke. He had a good hockey IQ and attacked him one-on-one and was able to get around him because he didn't have a stick, and made a great shot.
Goalie Adam Wilcox:
On the win...
"It was a good game. We were kind of cautious in the first period. Both teams had to see what each team had to offer. After that, both teams started executing. They got one early in the second. It was off a weird bounce, so I wasn't too mad about it. Those happen. But we came right back hard. (Zach Budish) had a nice shot, and after that we just kept rolling."
