The Minnesota men's hockey program closed out the 2012-13 season -- Minnesota's final campaign in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) -- with a share of the MacNaughton Cup as WCHA regular-season champions, the program's 34th NCAA tournament appearance and a 26-9-5 overall record.

2010-11 • Sophomore Season: Limited to only seven games because of an injury • had six points (2g-4a) • team was 5-2-0 in games he played and 3-0-0 in games he recorded a point • injured right knee in a moped accident on Nov. 1 and missed the remainder of the season • underwent successful knee surgery on Monday, Nov. 22 • recorded two assists and scored an empty-net goal in win versus Massachusetts (10/8) • took five shots against St. Cloud State (10/22) • assisted on Minnesota's first goal of the game versus St. Cloud State (10/24) • scored 53 seconds into the game, had one assist and was +3 at Colorado College (10/30) in his last game before injuring his knee • named to the WCHA All-Academic team.

2009-10 • Freshman Season: Competed in all 39 games as a freshman, playing much of the second half of the season as right wing on the team's top forward line • was named the WCHA Rookie of the Week twice in January after a three-point weekend against North Dakota (1/15-16) and a five-point series at Alaska Anchorage (1/29-30) • team was 9-1-1 when he scored a point • scored his first career goal in a 5-1 win over Alaska Anchorage (10/30) • had two goals and an assist to spark a 5-2 win at Wisconsin (11/7) • collected the game-winning goal on an unassisted tally against North Dakota (1/16) • scored the game-winner and added three assists in a win at Alaska Anchorage (1/29) • tallied the team's lone goal in a 3-1 loss at Alaska Anchorage the following night (1/30) • assisted goals in each game of sweep against Colorado College (2/19-20) • won 57.2 percent of his faceoffs • ranked second on team with 45 penalty minutes • earned his first letter.

International: Participated in 2010 U.S. National Junior Evaluation Camp in Lake Placid, N.Y. • participated in the 2009 U.S. under-18 evaluation camp in Lake Placid, N.Y., notching two goals in seven games • played for the U.S squad in both the under-17 and under-18 Five Nations tournaments in the Czech Republic • competed for Team USA at the 2008 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament, leading the team with three goals and two assists in five games

High School: Returns to the ice after missing all of 2008-09 hockey season with a knee injury suffered during the first round of the 2008 football playoffs on a kickoff coverage • captained his Edina High School hockey team to a 28-3 record and a Class AA state runner-up finish as a junior • named to the Class AA all-state tournament team in 2008 • totaled 26 goals and 37 assists for 63 points in 2007-08 and earned Associated Press first-team all-state honors • high school coach was Curt Giles • played 15 games with Team Southwest in the Minnesota High School Elite League in the fall of 2008, recording 27 points with 14 goals and 13 assists • all-conference middle linebacker in football • also played baseball • selected by the Nashville Predators in the second round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
