2012-13 • Sophomore Season:Appeared in 38 games for the Gophers, setting new career marks for points (16), goals (9) and assists (7) • made his season debut on Oct. 12 in a 5-1 win over Michigan State, tallying an assist in the win • tied a career high with two goals in Minnesota's 3-2 win over Michigan Tech on Oct. 20 including the game winner • notched four multi-point games this season • tallied a goal just over two minutes into the contest at Anchorage (11/10) • scored a goal to kick-start the Gophers to a 5-1 victory over the Catamounts in Burlington, Vermont. (11/23) • tallied his fifth goal of the season, to this point all coming on the road, and added an assist at Colorado College (12/8) • posted the first goal of the game and added an assist to tie a career-high in points against Alaska Anchorage (1/12) • battled for space at the top of the crease and scored the game-winning goal in the third period at Wisconsin (2/15) • netted a goal in the third period during the Hockey City Classic at Chicago's Soldier Field (2/17) • Academic All-WCHA honoree.

2011-12 • Freshman Season: Skated in 41 games and had five goals and three assists • third on the team in penalties (21) and penalty minutes (53) • team was 5-0-0 when he recorded a point • made his collegiate debut against Sacred Heart (10/7) and had two third-period goals for his first points as a Gopher • credited with six penalty minutes against Vermont (10/23) • racked up 19 penalty minutes against North Dakota (11/4) • had an assist and scored the first goal of the game with a power-play strike against Minnesota State (12/3) • registered two points (1g-1a) at North Dakota (1/14) • scored his fifth goal of the season against Bemidji State (2/18).

International: Won a gold medal with the United States at the 2010 World Jr. A Challenge in Penticton, B.C • was second on the team and tied for seventh in the tournament with five points in four games • was an assistant captain for the U.S. Under-18 Select Team at the 2010 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament in Breclav, Czech Republic and Piestany, Slovakia • had three points in five games for second place Team USA • skated for the first-place U.S. National Under-17 team at the 2009 Four Nations in Trnava, Slovakia • scored five goals in three games.
