2012-13 • Junior Season:All-WCHA First Team selection and an All-America candidate • appeared in all 40 games this season as a junior for the Gophers • led all WCHA defensemen and ranked tied for third among all NCAA defensemen 32 points (nine goals, 23 assists) • a +15 for the season with five power-play goals and one game winner • was the leading scorer among defensemen in the WCHA, with 30 points, during the regular season. • tallied his first point of the season with an assist on Brady Skjei's first collegiate goal against Michigan State (10-13) • scored his first goal of the season at Michigan Tech (10/19) • had two points, a goal and an assist, versus Minnesota State (11/2) • assisted on a pair of power-play goals up in Alaska against the Seawolves (11/9) • collected one assist each game of a two-game series at Vermont. 2010-11 • Freshman Season: Skated in 13 games and had one assist • made collegiate debut against Massachusetts (10/8) • earned his first collegiate point (an assist) against Ferris State (1/1) • point came in his seventh career game • was playing third line left wing when he picked up the assist instead of his customary defensive position • played in back-to-back WCHA series games (played left wing instead of defense) for the first and only time of the season at North Dakota (Jan. 14-15).
International: Played for the U.S. Under-17 team that earned a silver medal at the Five Nations Cup in the Czech Republic in 2007.
High School: Played one season with the Fargo Force of the USHL • ranked seventh on the team and first among Force defensemen in points with 37 (14g-23a) in 57 games • collected six assists in team's run to the Clark Cup final • selected to USHL All-Star team and USHL All-Rookie team • head coach was current St. Cloud assistant coach Steve Johnson • played three years of high school at St. Cloud Cathedral • head coach was Eric Johnson • helped lead team to Class A state semi-final • earned all-Wright County Conference honors all three years he played and earned all-state honors in his final year • was the second-highest scoring defenseman in the state when he recorded 53 points (25g-28a) in 31 games in 2008-09.
