Casey Mittelstadt notched three assists and a goal in his first taste of college hockey as the No. 3 Gopher Hockey program unofficially opened the 2017-18 campaign with a 6-2 exhibition win over Alberta.
We sent our two Michigan Gophers (Brent Gates Jr. and Mike Szmatula) to the Minnesota State Fair to check things out. Needless to say, the Great Minnesota Get-Together did not disappoint.

Minnesota held the nation's top offense to one goal and its lowest shot total of the season as the No. 7 Gopher Hockey program topped No. 4/6 Penn State 5-1 on Friday night at Mariucci Arena.
