Gophers win 6-2 over Michigan on Friday night at Mariucci

2015-16 | JUNIOR SEASON
Will serve as an alternate captain.  Netted two goals in leading the gophers to a four to three sweep over Northeastern. • Recorded a second straight two point game, this time coming in a win against the Irish of Notre Dame. • Tallied a two assist night in a four goal blanking of Minnesota State. • Scored the game winning goal, in overtime, to lead the Gophers to a two to three victory over Ohio State. • Scored three goals in a weekend series versus Michigan and was named the Big Ten's Third Star of the week. • Tallied a three point performance in the Mariucci Classic with a goal and two assists and was named to the All-Tournament Team.  • Recorded a three point game, including two short-handed goals, in a 7-to-1 victory at Penn State.  Netted two goals and three assists during a border battle sweep of Wisconsin.  After leading all Big Ten forwards in scoring that weekend, was awarded the Big Ten's Second Star of the Week.  

2014-15 | SOPHOMORE SEASON

Invited to the 2014 USA Hockey National Junior Evaluation Camp • represented the U.S. at the 2014 IIHF World Junior Championship alongside Gophers teammate Brady Skjei and head coach Don Lucia • tallied four points (two goals, two assists) in five games at the tournament in Sweden • a product of the U.S. National Development Team program • earned a silver medal with Team USA at the U-18 World Championships, tallying six points.

HIGH SCHOOL/JUNIORS
Spent two seasons with the U.S. National Development Team Program in Ann Arbor • tallied a total of 36 points (11 goals, 25 assists) in 2012-13 after totaling 34 points (15 goals, 19 assists) in 54 games the previous season • before joining the USNDTP, skated for Apple Valley High School as a freshman and sophomore • scored 50 points (18 goals, 32 assists) in 28 games in his final prep season after recording 42 points (24 goals, 18 assists) in 31 games during the 2009-10 season • played alongside Gophers teammate A.J. Michaelson at Apple Valley.

Born July 28, 1995 • son of Rick and Shannon Fasching • has one brother, Cooper, and one sister, Mallory • selected 118th overall in the fourth round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings, his rights were traded to the Buffalo Sabres during the 2013-14 season.
