Repeated as the Big Ten Goaltender of the Year as well as a First Team All-Big Ten selection • started all 38 games for the Gophers during his second collegiate season • posted a 23-12-3 record • topped the Big Ten in victories (23), shutouts (five), saves (984) and minutes played (2,297:47) • posted career bests in save percentage (.908) and goals against average (2.61) • recorded a shutout in the season opener, making 14 saves at Alaska Anchorage on Oct. 7, 2016 • shut out three foes at home: North Dakota on Nov. 5, Minnesota State on Nov. 19, and Michigan State on March 10  • made a season-high 59 saves in a double overtime thriller against Penn State in the Big Ten Tournament on March 17, 2017 • added three assists during the 2016-17 season • earned second letter.
