Paced by Kyle Rau's hat trick, the Gophers swept Alaska Anchorage with a 7-1 win.

2012-13 • Freshman Season:Appeared in 22 games for the Gophers as a freshman in 2012-13 • collected six points (three goals, three assists) and is currently a +4 • appeared in his first college game in a 5-1 victory over Michigan State (10/12) • recorded his first point as a Gopher when he assisted on a Seth Ambroz goal at Vermont (11/23) • scored the game-winning goal, the first goal of his college career, in a 3-1 victory at Vermont (11/24) • assisted on a Christian Isackson goal against Notre Dame to pick up his second assist of the season. (1/8) • netted the second goal of his career in a 7-1 victory over Alaska Anchorage. He was also a +2 on the night. (1/12) • registered an assist on a Justin Holl goal against Bemidji State. He dug the puck of the corner and found Holl in the slot (3/8) • netted the game-tying goal in the third period of game two of the WCHA playoff series against Bemidji State (3/16).

International: Played for the third-place United States at the 2011 World Junior A Hockey Challenge in Langley, B.C., skating with fellow Gopher freshman Mike Reilly • Recorded three assists in four games and won a gold medal skating for Team USA at the 2010 Under-17 Five Nations Tournament in Huttwil, Switzerland.

Juniors/High School: Played the 2011-12 season for the Waterloo Black Hawks of the USHL, coached by P.K.
