2012-13| FRESHMAN SEASON Appeared in 22 games for the Gophers as a freshman in 2012-13 • collected six points (three goals, three assists) and is currently a +4 • appeared in his first college game in a 5-1 victory over Michigan State (10/12) • recorded his first point as a Gopher when he assisted on a Seth Ambroz goal at Vermont (11/23) • scored the game-winning goal, the first goal of his college career, in a 3-1 victory at Vermont (11/24) • assisted on a Christian Isackson goal against Notre Dame to pick up his second assist of the season. (1/8) • netted the second goal of his career in a 7-1 victory over Alaska Anchorage. He was also a +2 on the night. (1/12) • registered an assist on a Justin Holl goal against Bemidji State. INTERNATIONAL Played for the third-place United States at the 2011 World Junior A Hockey Challenge in Langley, B.C., skating with fellow Gopher freshman Mike Reilly • recorded three assists in four games and won a gold medal skating for Team USA at the 2010 Under-17 Five Nations Tournament in Huttwil, Switzerland.
HIGH SCHOOL/JUNIORS Played the 2011-12 season for the Waterloo Black Hawks of the USHL, coached by P.K. O'Handley • followed a 20-point regular season with seven points in a 15-game run to the Clark Cup final • participated in the 2012 CCM USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game in Muskegon, Mich. • played six games for the Black Hawks after completing high school season in 2010-11, skating with current Gopher sophomore Blake Thompson • played three years of prep hockey at Apple Valley for coach Jerry Hayes • put up a school record 62 points in his final season with the team • left as his high school's fourth all-time leading point-scorer (121) and second all-time leading goal scorer (62), winning two team MVP awards • helped lead the Eagles to a Section 3AA championship in 2009-10 and was named team captain for the following season • in 2011-12, was an all-state honorable mention honoree, was named to the All-Lake Conference team, and won Apple Valley's Bird of Prey Award • earned the Eagles' Rookie of the Year Award in 2008-09 • also played golf in high school • reached the state tournament and was named Team MVP in his sophomore year and was team's captain for the following year.
