The University of Minnesota men’s gymnastics team enters the season picked to finish No. 2 by the Big Ten Conference Preseason Coaches’ Poll.

Seniors Jalon Stephens and Alex Wittenberg were both selected to the Big Ten Men’s Gymnasts to Watch List. Stephens is coming off an All-American season after placing third at the NCAA Championships last year with a 14.500 on high bar. He competed in the all-around for the Gophers as a junior last season. Wittenberg is the defending Big Ten floor champion and a co-captain for the Maroon and Gold. He has also competed on vault and pommel horse in his Gophers career.

Earlier this month the Gophers were ranked No. 4 in the CGA Preseason Poll. You can see them in action at the Maturi Pavilion on Jan. 6 for the annual alumni meet before they officially start the season at the Windy City Invitational on Jan. 13.
