The men’s gymnastics season does not begin until January, but the Gophers are preparing for a busy upcoming few days.

The team, which recently began practicing for the upcoming season, will be signing autographs at Target Center on Thursday, Oct. 11 at 6 p.m. The autograph session will be held prior to the Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastics Champions, which begins at 7 p.m. The women’s team will be there as well.

The Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastics Champions is a national tour featuring some of Team USA’s top performing gymnasts following the 2012 Olympic Games in London. In addition, members of the 2011 World Championships teams, past Olympians and U.S. medalists in men’s, women’s, rhythmic and acrobatic gymnastics and trampoline and tumbling are scheduled to perform as well.

On Friday, the Gophers will participate in the annual homecoming parade at 7 p.m. on University Avenue. The men’s team, which performs during the parade, has received the first-place award in the performance competition during the last two homecoming parades.

The Gophers begin their season with an alumni meet at 7 p.m. on Jan. 11 at the Sports Pavilion.
