The University of Minnesota men's gymnastics team announced its schedule for the upcoming season today. The Gophers have only four home meets this year, but the home schedule is highlighted by the Big Ten tournament as the annual event returns to Minneapolis in early April.
The 2013 schedule features 11 meets in the regular season and begins on Jan. 19 in Chicago with the Windy City Invitational. The Gophers open their home schedule the following weekend when they host Air Force on Jan. 26.
Minnesota then hosts Nebraska and UIC in the John Roethlisberger Iceberg Invitational on Feb. 2, before members of the squad head to Las Vegas for the Winter Cup on Feb. 7-9. Minnesota will also compete at Iowa on Feb. 9.
The Gophers head to traditional power Oklahoma on Feb. 16 and then head to UIC on Feb. 24. Minnesota then hosts border rival Iowa on March 2 before heading to Illinois (March 9) and Nebraska (March 16).
Minnesota will celebrate senior night on March 23 when it hosts Penn State.
The Gophers are back in action when they welcome the Big Ten to the Sports Pavilion for the Big Ten Championship on April 5-6.
The NCAA Qualifying Round will be held on April 18 in State College, Pa., while the NCAA Championship will be contested the following two days on April 19-20.
The Gophers will also host an alumni meet on Jan. 11 prior to the start of the season at the Sports Pavilion.

Minnesota Tops Canada, Falls to Japan and Stanford
Minnesota finished third with a score of 405.600 in a quad-meet with the Japanese National Team (425.800), Stanford (421.550) and the Canadian National Team (392.700) on Saturday night.

Minnesota will travel this weekend to compete against Stanford, and the National Teams from both Japan and Canada.
Day Two: Winter Cup Challenge
Stephens finished 23rd in the all-around competition, while alum Mannon finished fifth on pommel horse. Incoming freshman Wiskus also competed in the all-around finals, finishing 12th.
