The Minnesota men's gymnastics team will enter the NCAA Qualifying Round on April 19 as the No. 6 team in the nation. The Gophers jumped from No. 7 to No. 6 in the latest Gyminfo National Rankings that were released Monday after finishing third in the Big Ten Championships last weekend.

Minnesota is ranked behind Penn State, Oklahoma, Michigan, Stanford and Ohio State. Michigan won the Big Ten Championships and was followed by Penn State and Minnesota. The Gophers tallied 430.350 points to beat fourth-place Ohio State, which notched 426.600 points.

Minnesota also placed eight gymnasts in the top 20 in individual event rankings. Steve Jaciuk is ranked second on high bar and tied for ninth on parallel bars, while Ellis Mannon is third on still rings.
