Gophers Rank No. 7 Heading into NCAAs

MINNEAPOLIS – The Gophers men’s gymnastics team is No. 7 in the GymInfo national rankings this week, after competing in the 2014 Big Ten Men's Gymnastics Championships last weekend. The team is also ranked No. 7 in this week's coaches poll.

Ahead of the Gophers are No. 1 Oklahoma (444.463), No. 2 Michigan (442.263), No. 3 Ohio State (441.888), No. 4 Stanford (440.688), No. 5 Illinois (434.063) and No. 6 Penn State (433.725).

The teams behind the Gophers that will also be heading to Ann Arbor, Mich., for the NCAA Championships are No. 8 Iowa (430.413), No. 9 California (428.800), No. 10 Air Force (427.900), No. 11 Nebraska (424.663) and No. 12 William & Mary (423.600).

Stephens finished 23rd in the all-around competition, while alum Mannon finished fifth on pommel horse. Incoming freshman Wiskus also competed in the all-around finals, finishing 12th.
