Minnesota handed out its 2014 team awards Saturday evening
2014 Senior Season: Nissen-Emery Award finalist All-Big Ten Second Team honoree Academic All-Big Ten honoree and CGA Second Team All America Scholar-Athlete received Gophers' Outstanding Career Award finished ninth in the nation on vault (14.775) as one of four Gophers to advance to the event finals on the final day of the NCAA championships (4/12) competed on still rings (14.450) and vault (15.150) on the second day of the NCAA championships (4/11) tied for third on still rings (15.000), took eight on vault (15.000) and tied for 17th on floor (14.450) at the NCAA Qualifier (4/10) finished third on vault (15.100) in the Big Ten event finals (3/29) led the Gophers in a tie for ninth on floor (14.900) and also competed on rings (14.650) and vault (15.250) at the Big Ten team finals, advancing on vault after tying for third on day one (3/28) competed in nine meets in three events scored team's highest score at the Alumni Meet, earning a 15.100 on vault (1/11) scored 15.200 as vault champion against Oklahoma (1/25) set then-career highs on still rings (15.100) and floor exercise (15.100) and earned Louis J. Cooke Award at Illinois/Nebraska (2/1) scored 14.850 as vault champion at Air Force meet (2/8) scored season-best 15.300 as vault champion at Penn State (3/1) shared Louis J. Cooke Award at Iowa/Brockport meet with fellow seniors (3/8) set career-high score on still rings with 15.200 at Nebraska (3/15) earned fourth varsity letter.
2013 Junior season: Competed in four meets and also competed as an individual in the Winter Cup before suffering a season-ending injury in warmups at UIC (2/24) scored season high on vault with a 15.300 at home against Air Force recorded a career high on still rings with a 15.000 at home against Nebraska/UIC earned third varsity letter.
2012 Sophomore Season: Saw action in 10 competitions, including the Big Ten and NCAA Championships scored a career high of 14.800 on floor against Iowa/Nebraska had best outing on rings at Nebraska, earning a season-high score of 14.700 twice posted a career-best and team-leading score 15.300 on vault against Oklahoma/Ohio State and at the Big Ten Championships earned second team All-Big Ten honors named Academic All-Big Ten honoree earned second varsity letter.
2011 Freshman Season: Big Ten Champion on vault All-Big Ten First Team honoree named CGA Second Team All-American Scholar-Athlete competed in 11 of 12 meets named Big Ten Freshman of the Week twice scored career-high 15.100 on the floor exercise against Brockport scored season-best 14.900 on the still rings against Illinois/Nebraska scored career-high 16.400 on the vault twice earned his first varsity letter.
High School/Club: A graduate of Woodinville High School (Woodinville, Wash.) 2009 and 2010 region 2 champion vault champion at in 16-18 year-old division at 2009 Visa Championships finished third in vault at 2010 Junior Olympic Nationals.
Personal: Born August 26, 1992 son of Charlie and Debbie Chase brother of Cassie Chase Sports Management major Washington state honors student while in high school.
